checking out some of the girls in my old sorority on facebook.
they all seem to be doing really well. even the ones who stay home with kids are always standing in front of expensive kitchen cabinets or driving luxury cars.
I totally fucked something up.

Not really. Go to a builders display village, take a snap in front of some panoramic stainless steel kitchen and use it for your profile picture.
My facebook shot has me in front of a BMW I've never even sat in.
As I learned at a recent get together,
a) they are probably miserable, hate their husbands who keep a 20 something little chica on the side and drink themselves to sleep every night
b) the kitchen/car belongs to their MIL, neighbor, SIL, friend etc. and they are LIARS!
c) a very small percentage actually have all the bits and are truly happy.
I'll take happy over pretty cabinets and expensive cars any day.
